Executive Vice President: Nick Figone

A second-generation native San Franciscan, Nick has strong ties to North Beach where his grandfather was a scavenger, collecting the Citys refuse by horse drawn carriage. Nicks paternal side of the family is from Cavizano in Liguria, near Genoa. His maternal side of the family hails from Beano in the Friuli-Venezia-Giulia, near Udine. Nick is extremely proud of his full Italian ancestry and regularly communicates with his relatives in Italy.

Nick lives and works in San Francisco for Ecology and Environment, Inc., a full service environmental consulting firm specializing in environmental permitting for commercial infrastructure projects. He specializes in environmental impact reports (EIR) for utility scale energy projects, particularly solar, wind, and liquefied natural gas.

As the Executive Vice President, Nick strives to showcase the deep Italian roots and culture in the Bay Area with every FIERI event.

VP of Image: Adamo Furgiuele

Born in upstate New York, Adamo is a first generation Italian-American. Adamo's heritage hails from two culturally rich and distinct regions of Italy. His father came to the States in 1968 from the southern region of Calabria, while his mother and her family emigrated in 1967 from the beautiful Adriatic coastal region of Le Marche.

Adamo obtained his Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Syracuse University. While at Syracuse, Adamo was an active member of the school's community, serving as orientation leader and residential advisor for incoming students and freshmen. After working in the real estate industry, both in New York and San Francisco, Adamo currently resides in San Francisco and works for a private asset management firm.

As Vice President of Image for the San Francisco Chapter of FIERI, Adamo is looking forward to coordinating events that will give back to the larger community. His efforts will be focused on providing FIERI members the opportunity to interact with community leaders and get involved with volunteer activities in and around the Bay area.

VP of Culture: Elizabeth Conrady

Elizabeth is a fourth-generation San Franciscan. Her great grandfather landed in San Francisco from Ancona, Italy in 1865. One day while fishing for his supper in the San Francisco Bay, Achille Paladini caught two fish on one hook. A tired gold miner offered to purchase the other fish, and he got the idea to start a fishing business, which grew into the west coast's largest wholesale seafood distributor.

Elizabeth received her Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of California at Davis in International Relations and Communications. She resides in San Francisco and has a career in marketing. She is active in the community and has served on boards and committees of numerous San Francisco philanthropic organizations.

As vice president of culture for the San Francisco chapter of Fieri, Elizabeth plans events promoting Italian culture.

VP of Public Relations: Julia Dondero

Raised in Linden, California, a small farming community, Julia has many fond memories of attending family events at both the Stockton Italian Gardner's Club and the Lodi Italian Club. Though a 3rd generation Italian, Julia grew up in a community with a strong Italian heritageher family still enjoys making homemade wine, salami and sausage. These family traditions are as strong today as when her great grandparents first brought them from their small towns, just outside of Genova in the Liguria Region of Italy.

Julia studied at Santa Clara University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Commerce, with an emphasis in Marketing and a minor in Studio Art. She currently resides in San Francisco and works as a Producer at Ogilvy, where she focuses on Interactive Marketing & Advertising Project Management and has worked with brands such as Wells Fargo, Yahoo!, Cisco and Mattel.

As the San Francisco chapter's Public Relations Director, Julia is excited to work with the team to promote FIERI. Her goal is to grow the San Francisco chapter by showcasing upcoming events and to become a strong member of the Italian-American Community in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area.

VP of Finance: John Brunello

Johns Italian roots and his ardor for Italian heritage stem from his grandparents whom each were born in the beautiful region of Treviso near the foothills of the Alps, north of Venice. Though born in Southern California, Johns first experience with FIERI was as a member of the Washington, DC chapter prior to his move to San Francisco in 2000. After his move to San Francisco he longed for opportunities to preserve, promote and celebrate the Italian culture. As a result, he quickly became an active member of the, then upstart, San Francisco chapter and has since introduced many others to FIERI. Today John serves the chapter as vice president of finance and continues to expand the organization and its finances.

Outside of FIERI John is a financial advisor for the US Global Wealth Management division of UBS Financial Services Inc., the Swiss-based financial firm. Bringing more than a decade of private investing experience to his position, he assists select individuals and families in creating, preserving and transferring wealth. With access to the global resources and capabilities of UBS he assists clients in areas such as financial planning, estate planning, college saving, 401K and strategic charitable giving. His accomplishments have resulted in John serving as a keynote speaker before industry professionals, being quoted as an industry authority in leading business and trade publications, as well as being a featured guest lecturer at The George Washington University in Washington, DC.

An avid soccer player, Brunello worked in operations during World Cup USA '94 and managed the media center at the Robert F. Kennedy Stadium soccer venue during the Summer Olympic Games in 1996. Additionally, John is involved with several San Francisco Bay Area philanthropic, service, cultural and professional groups and serves as a board member of various non-profit organizations.

President Emeritus: Robert Della Santina

Born in San Francisco and as a first generation Italian-American, Robert's roots have maintained with him all his life. With his parents hailing from Pieve San Paolo and Verciano, it is no wonder why he has continued to follow many Italian traditions. Like many Italians, Robert's passion for food, wine, and soccer run deep which have translated to some of the events Fieri's San Francisco Chapter holds today.

Robert obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from St. Mary's College of California in Business Administration while minoring in Computer Science. Today, he works in the East Bay for Mercado Software where he is a Sr. Account Executive.

As the co-founder of the San Francisco Chapter of Fieri and President Emeritus, Robert has had the pleasure of serving the Italian-American community in the Bay Area. He continues to consult with the Chapter and is looking forward to another success year.
