VP of Finance: John Brunello

Johns Italian roots and his ardor for Italian heritage stem from his grandparents whom each were born in the beautiful region of Treviso near the foothills of the Alps, north of Venice. Though born in Southern California, Johns first experience with FIERI was as a member of the Washington, DC chapter prior to his move to San Francisco in 2000. After his move to San Francisco he longed for opportunities to preserve, promote and celebrate the Italian culture. As a result, he quickly became an active member of the, then upstart, San Francisco chapter and has since introduced many others to FIERI. Today John serves the chapter as vice president of finance and continues to expand the organization and its finances.

Outside of FIERI John is a financial advisor for the US Global Wealth Management division of UBS Financial Services Inc., the Swiss-based financial firm. Bringing more than a decade of private investing experience to his position, he assists select individuals and families in creating, preserving and transferring wealth. With access to the global resources and capabilities of UBS he assists clients in areas such as financial planning, estate planning, college saving, 401K and strategic charitable giving. His accomplishments have resulted in John serving as a keynote speaker before industry professionals, being quoted as an industry authority in leading business and trade publications, as well as being a featured guest lecturer at The George Washington University in Washington, DC.

An avid soccer player, Brunello worked in operations during World Cup USA '94 and managed the media center at the Robert F. Kennedy Stadium soccer venue during the Summer Olympic Games in 1996. Additionally, John is involved with several San Francisco Bay Area philanthropic, service, cultural and professional groups and serves as a board member of various non-profit organizations.
